Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei received a number of people and high-ranking officials of the Establishment as well as ambassadors of Islamic countries to Iran on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr where he believed the current pandemonium in the region and atrocities of terrorists had roots in imperial powers especially the US; "all well-orchestrated attempts aim to provide space for the Zionist regime to prosper and where the Palestinian issue is well-forlorn by the multitudes of Muslims; a remedy for this entails identifying the true nature of the enemy," he told the meeting.
"A vicious source of all problems and plights of the world of Islam is petty hands of the behind-the-scene powers who tacitly support terrorism which is however belied by their contrived coalition against their foster child; the bloody explosions, slaughter, and devastation across Islamic lands should provide clues to find these treacherous hands," he emphasized.
Leader highlighted the hypocrisy of the coalition against terrorism in Iraq and Syria; "Ironically, the US ambassador to Syria was spotted among the rallying mass in early days of the Syrian street unrest; such hypocritical attempts changed a small-scale political skirmish to a full-fledged civil war and fueled fratricide, with support in grander scale coming from oil income of Arab states of the region, with mercenaries coming from the most intellectually backward regions where the environment is ripe for growth of extremist factions seeking to explode their rage on other far-away lands," the Leader asserted, "the Islamic Republic of Iran has not interfered in Bahraini affairs and it will not either; a political foresight in statesmen and rulers would effectively save the country from plunging into a internecine civil war."
"In Palestine, their attempts is to uproot and denigrate people from where their ancestors had been living from times immemorial; the Zionist regime will definitely see the backlash from its own oppressive policies in the Palestinian Territories; Palestinian issue constitutes the major issue of Islam and any conscientious Muslim should not forget its reality," he suggested.
In Yemeni context, Leader recommended the invading side to stop violation of its neighbor; "the world of Islam should punish the invader of the Yemeni people which had been devastating the country in more than ayear now," Ayatollah Khamenei told the meeting.
