In Parliament’s Tuesday open session, a statement was read reportedly signed by a group of representatives offering felicitation to Iraqi government and people; “Iraqi people and army brought to grinding halt Takfirist groups who had the US and Saudi Arabian support; their well-armed mercenaries faced the unassuming and living martyrs, who, endowed with services of a versatile military adviser such as Gen. Qassem Soleimani, effectively forestalled the plots of the infidels. The triumph opened new horizons before the warriors in their efforts to open up other cities such as Mosul, Riqqa, and Aleppo from the tyranny of the treacherous and ferocious conduct of the ISIL,” reads a part of the statement.
The statement also emphasized that the spiritual support of the Iraqi high clerical order especially by Grand Ayatollah Ali Sistani provided considerable help by channeling the public mobilization into the fronts with the infidels; “by this statement, we express gratitude and congratulations as well to Iraqi government officials and the religious authorities.”
In a related story, 202 Parliamentarians condemned UNSG Ban Ki-Moon’s delisting of Saudi Arabia from ‘child killer’ list to which Mr. Ban himself admitted the measure as an alternative to secure financial supports of the Arab states which threatened to cut the flow of their financial helps to the UN. Parliamentarians emphasized that the UN had been under the domination of the hollow claimants to human rights and despotic governments who had been red-handed in crimes against innocent civilians.
