The session will be attended by 10 countries most of which are located in Central Asia and Middle East.
Planned for 26-28 Dec., the meeting will be held to review the mutual cultural and artistic aspects of Iran and the participating countries as well as boosting bilateral ties.
Talking about the assembly, Tehran University of Art’s Director of International Affairs Neda Amiralaei said that the suggestion of holding the assembly was offered by the chancellor of the Iranian university according to which an agreement was signed some six months ago with ECO.
An article of the MoU was on granting scholarships to art students of ECO countries, she explained and added “20 scholarships were presented by the university of which 12 students have been introduced so far.”
Stressing that promotion of Islam-Iranian art and culture requires planning in other countries, she added that the assembly will also be attended by presidents of Shiraz, Isfahan and Tabriz art universities which will turn the session into an opportunity to boost mutual cooperation.
