The slogan of this year’s edition of the exhibition is “Fair Criticism, Responsible Response” which aims at promoting the mutual relations between critics and the officials.
According to Deputy Culture Minister for Press Affairs Hossein Entezami, over 700 media, including newspapers, magazines, news agencies and press organizations are participating in the exhibition.
The event will also feature different companies and institutes active in the press arena such as distributing companies, public relations offices and paper industries.
A number of foreign news agencies and newspapers that have offices in Tehran as well as several foreign journalists have also been invited to the exhibition to share their knowledge and experience with Iranian visitors. According to reports, the foreign delegates are from China, France, Germany, Iraq, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Russia, Turkey and US.
The official opening ceremony will take place on Sunday with the attendance of President Hassan Rouhani as well as Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati.
The 21st edition of Press and News Agencies Exhibition will run until 13 November at Tehran Grand Musalla. Mehr News Agency and its affiliated daily Tehran Times are also attending the exhibiton and welcome visitors who want to make a close contact with journalists and officials of the agency.
