The foreign ministry hall was the venue where Italian Paolo Gentiloni and the accompanying delegation were received by Zarif. The delegation is Italy’s first effort in gaining economic ground in Iran after the historic JCPOA opened Iranian market to the world.
The delegation include high profile personalities as the managers of Italian major businesses, private or public, and most influential tycoons.
In line with the chain of EU visits to Tehran, Sigmar Gabriel, Vice Chancellor of Germany, EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini, Laurent Fabius of France, and Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic have been to Tehran.
