Iran, Turkey hold joint meeting on Syrian crisis

TEHRAN, Jun. 18 (MNA) – Iran and Turkey held a joint meeting here on Wednesday to review the developments in Syria.

The meeting was held in coordination with The Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS) and Center for Scientific Research and Middle East Strategic Studies. 

Director-General of the Institute for Political and International Studies of Iran's Foreign Ministry Mostafa Zahrani chaired the Iranian delegation in the meeting.

A wide range of issues including regional, social and political developments and their relations with events in Syria and the importance of Iran-Turkey cooperation in management of regional crises were discussed during the meeting.

The participants also discussed the Western countries' policies on projecting their problems to the Middle East region.

An agreement on settlement of regional crises through the exit of all foreign forces from the region, joint fight against terrorism, ceasefire and holding elections was the final result of the the joint meeting.
