Iran’s economy rising from its ashes: Rouhani

TEHRAN, Jan. 28 (MNA) – Iran’s president has said he sees no barrier in the way of extension of Iran and South Korean long-lasting economic and trade relations.

Hassan Rouhani who was receiving the speaker of South Korean National Assembly in Tehran, said that conditions for Korean companies and economic firms has been favorable to invest in Iran’s different economic sectors including oil, gas, energy, and industry. “Today, because of excellent new situation created in Iran, world business and investment giants show their willingness to come to Iran,” added the president, and that “Iran’s economy now is rising from its ashes, and we hope that South Korean companies participate in this rising more actively.”

Rouhani gave a broad perspective of the country’s projects in energy, mines, and trade sectors and believed that negotiations with international companies had been growing in number.

“The Korean private sector should cooperate more closely with Iranian counterpart,” Rouhani demanded.

Kang Chang-hee told that Iran and South Korea had long history of relations, and Korean government had plans to boost bilateral ties with Iran in the near future. “We seek to see that Korea and Iran have more dynamic relations in the future; we seek to boost the trade between Korea and Iran very rapidly in the light of this dynamic relation,” he asserted.

He pointed to Dr. Rouhani’s record in Iranian parliament, and believed that he would have important role in parliamentary diplomacy conducive to development of economic, scientific and cultural cooperation. “We also seek to resolve minor issues in our economic relations; I hope that a great and wealthy Iran walks in the path to progress with great steps,” Chang said.

“South Korea wants to revive past cordial ties with Tehran. We trust Iran totally,” he added, addressing Rouhani as “I heard your address in Davos Economic Forum, and believe your moderation, hope and prudence are indeed adorable.”
