Qods Day, best opportunity to support Palestinian nation: Judiciary chief

TEHRAN, Oct. 1 (MNA) -- Qods Day provides a good opportunity to support the Palestinian people and inform the world about the injustice committed against the Palestinian nation and the brutality of the Zionist regime, Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Mahmud Hashemi Shahrudi said here on Monday.

Qods Day is one of the greatest things proposed by the late Imam Khomeini, Shahrudi stated during a session of high-ranking Judiciary officials.

All Muslims in the world should support the Palestinian people, he added. “The Muslims in Iran and the world will show that the oppressed Palestinian people are not alone.”

In addition to these heinous crimes, the Zionist regime intends to sow discord among Palestinian resistance groups, but the Palestinians will foil these conspiracies through their vigilance, he observed.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Judiciary chief said President Mahmud Ahmadinejad’s visit to the UN brought about unity between political groups and parties at home and showed the world the dignity and strength of the Islamic Republic.
