Iran will participate in both men and women classes.
The team is composed of Grandmasters Ehsan Ghaem Maghami, Elshan Moradi, Amir Bagheri, Morteza Mahjoob, Shoja’at Ghane, Shadi Paridar , two International Masters Atusa Purkashian , Shayesteh Ghaderpur and two Fide Masters Mitra Hejazipur and Mona Salman Mahini.
Ghaem–Maghami is teams’ captain in the event.
Iran will be headed by Khosro Harandi and Hossein Arianejad in the 38th Chess Olympiad Dresden 2008.
The tournament will be held with the participation of the 157 countries in two men and women classes.
