IRGC missiles successfully hit mock enemy targets

TEHRAN, July 4 (MNA) – On the second day of the missile exercises of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, which started on Monday, tens of domestically manufactured missiles, with a range of 300 to 1300 kilometers, were fired and successfully hit designated targets.

On Tuesday, tens of Shahab 1 to 3, Fateh, Tondar, Zelzal, and Qiam missiles were fired from different missile sites across the country at bases modeled on airbases of the extra-regional powers, which had been constructed in the heart of the Semnan desert in north central Iran, and destroyed mock enemy targets.

IRGC’s fighter jets also bombarded mock enemy bases.

On Wednesday, which is the last day of the war games, IRGC’s unmanned aircraft will carry out operations.

The Persian Gulf anti-ship missile, which has been produced by the Defense Ministry, will also be test-fired during the war games entitled the Great Prophet 7.

On the sidelines of the exercises, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, the commander of the Aerospace Force of the IRGC, said that the war games differ from previous exercises, in which missiles had been fired from a single missile base at different points across the country.

He also announced that the IRGC’s new anti-radar ballistic missile will be test-fired in the near future.

The ballistic missile has a range of more than 300 kilometers, travels several times faster than the speed of sound, and is able to destroy air defense systems and any base that transmits radar signals.
