Ayatollah Khamenei, in a decree issued on Monday, said that Fadavi’s wealth of experience, valuable services and pertinent qualifications were the reason behind his appointment.
Heretofore, Rear Admiral Morteza Saffari had commanded the naval force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps.
The Leader also extended thanks to Saffari for his efforts during his tenure as the former IRGC navy commander.
