Iran, Bulgaria to boost economic ties

VIENNA, Feb. 26 (MNA) – The 17th meeting of Iran-Bulgaria joint economic commission kicked off in Sofia on Thursday.

During the first day on the meeting the Iranian Minister of Road and Transportation Hamid Behbahani and his Bulgarian counterpart Alexander Tsvetkov called for fostering bilateral cooperation in various fields, the IRNA News Agency reported.

 

The two sides also signed two memorandums of understanding in the fields of tourism and economy in the second day of meeting.

 

During the meeting Behbahani stressed that the two countries should deepen bilateral relations. The Bulgarian minister said the issue of expansion of ties is the major goal of the two states.

 

Tsvetkov also called for further economic cooperation between Tehran and Sofia.

 

The next meeting of Iran-Bulgaria joint economic commission will be held in Tehran next year.
