Iran, Georgia to boost trade shipping ties

TEHRAN, Sept. 3 (MNA) – Iran and Georgia signed a memorandum on trade shipping to boost bilateral trade and transportation ties, the Ports and Shipping Organization (PSO) reported on Monday.

 

The Iranian delegation in Tbilisi negotiated on the issue with Georgian officials of the Ministry of Economic Development and ratified the 17-article memorandum.

 

The memo is targeted to reinforce the sides’ sea transportation.

 

Georgia is a Eurasian country in the Caucasus at the east coast of the Black Sea. It is bordered on the north by Russia, on the south by Turkey and Armenia, and on the east by Azerbaijan.
