During the phone call, the Iranian president thanked his Azeri counterpart for condoling the martyrdom of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and other Iranian military commanders and citizens in the US-Israeli aggression against Iran.
Emphasizing that airstrike in Nakhchivan was not linked to Iran, Pezeshkian emphasized that the aspects of this attack will be investigated.
The president of Republic of Azerbaijan, for his part, stressed the significance of investigating into the airstrike happened in Nakhichevan.
The two presidents also exchanged their views on the prospects of developing the joint economic projects between Tehran and Baku.
The United States and Zionist regime launched an unprovoked war of aggression against Iran on Saturday Feb. 28, which led to the martyrdom of late Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, high-ranking military commanders and civilians.
