The first drone attack targeted the US base at the Kharab al-Jir airport in the Al Hasakah suburbs in northeastern Syria.
Following a drone attack, a massive explosion occurred at the US base.
The second round of attacks targeted the US military base in the al-Omar oil field as well as the Kharab al-Jir base, both in eastern Syria.
The report added that the US base at the al-Omar oil field was targeted with four missiles, while the Kharab al-Jir base was targeted with three missiles and a drone.
The two bases, which are the most important American bases in eastern Syria, were attacked less than an hour apart.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attacks so far.
Resistance groups based in Iraq have repeatedly hit US bases on Iraqi and Syrian territories with missiles and drones over the past months in retaliation for the Israeli regime’s crimes against Palestinians in Gaza.
The groups are also outraged at the US military presence in the region, which they see as a source of instability, as well as Washington’s support for the Israeli regime in its ongoing war on Gaza.
