3 died in Vietnam after sleeper bus plunges off cliff

TEHRAN, Jan. 23 (MNA) – Three people died and many others were injured early Tuesday morning after a sleeper bus plunged off a cliff in a highway section running through Vietnam's central Da Nang city.

The sleeper bus with 19 passengers and three drivers and driver's assistants on board was running on the Dak Lak-Thua Thien Hue route when the accident occurred.

While heading towards the south-north direction, it crashed into the road barrier on the opposite side and slid off the cliff.

The accident happened at night when it was cold and raining heavily.

According to local police, the bus was seriously damaged. Three people died on the spot while three others were severely injured.

Other injured victims were rushed to local healthcare facilities.

The case is being further investigated.
