Speaking in the specialized roundtable on fighting terrorism and extremism in the West Asian region, Abbas Ali Kadkhodaei said that the US falsely introduced itself as a country that fights against ISIL terrorists, but the fact is that ISIL could achieve nothing if Americans were not present in the region.
Confronting ISIL was the strategy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, he said, adding that Iran fulfilled all its humanitarian duties in the fight against ISIL terrorism.
The US committed the crime of assassinating Martr General Solemani in violation of its international obligations and the charter of the United Nations.
Based on international documents, the assassination of General Soleimani has been recorded as a major violation, he further said, noting that none of the justifications of the Americans are approved.
The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has done a good follow-up regarding the case of the assassination of General Soleimani and the case is nearing the final stages.
