First Modern Persian Poetry Encyclopedia to Be Published

TEHRAN, June 17 ( Mehr News Agency)-- The most comprehensive encyclopedia on modern Persian poetry is to be published for the first time in Iran.

The wits behind the ambitious assignment of Ali-Mohammad Nejati, who is certain that knowledge on modern Persian poetry will be unthinkable without it, disclosed that the book will contain 80 years of contemporary Persian poetry in an exclusive interview with Mehr News Agency.

He added, "I started the scheme on my own, but as things got more complicated I had to ask for group help to finish it off on time."

As far as editing the distinctive encyclopedia is concerned he said, "The editing process will make use of expert advice from university lecturers, researchers, and research groups."

Intended for circulation within a year, the reference book will be in four volumes.
