‘Isolation’ goes to Poland festival of cinematography

TEHRAN, Oct. 17 (MNA) – Iranian feature ‘Isolation’, directed by Morteza Ali Abbas Mirzaei has been accepted to compete in the main competition section of Poland’s Camerimage Film Festival as Iran’s sole representative.

The International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography CAMERIMAGE runs through November 11-18, 2017. It grants Golden, Silver and Bronze awards to its winners. Mehdi Ilbeigi, the cinematographer of ‘Isolation’ has been nominated to receive the best cinematographer award, competing with rivals from the US, Ukraine, the UK, Poland, Denmark and a joint production of Finland, Germany Sweden.

The film narrates the story of a man named Parviz who after six years of imprisonment takes permission from the warden for a 72-hour leave in order to bury his departed wife and attend her burial ceremony, but his mind is occupied with something else.

The International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography CAMERIMAGE is the greatest and most recognized festival dedicated to the art of cinematography and its creators.
