In a statement released by Iranian Interior Ministry, the Iranian government body condemns US President Trump’s speech of Friday. The text is opened by a verse from the third chapter of the Islamic Holy Scripture:
"If Allah should aid you, no one can overcome you; but if He should forsake you, who is there that can aid you after Him? And upon Allah let the believers rely." Quran 3:168.
In the opening paragraph, it delineates a bipolarity between what the US foreign policy represents for and what the Iranian side calls for. It says that the whole world witnessed the distinction between the call for dialogue, thought, and mind in contrast with what “Trump’s remarks showed how a self-proclaimed global superpower with the illusion of heading the world is using lie, distortion, and intimidation in an outreach for supremacy with the least minimum historic and legal knowledge, political intelligence, and ruling literacy can humiliate and embarrass his nation.”
The statement asserts that, on the other side, “the Iranian logic and the Islamic Revolution discourse which is based upon the huge capital of belief in God challenges the shaky power of the arrogant domineers and intimidators.”
The announcement also condemns the US government for not abiding with and disloyalty toward the international agreements, pacts, and treaties. It describes the nuclear deal as a unique document of peace and stability in the world since the end of the WWII in 1945. The statement also voices deep disappointment how ‘rudely the treaty has been addressed by domineering powers’.
