Regional insecurity caused by US intervention: Leader

TEHRAN, Sep. 17 (MNA) – Ayatollah Khamenei of Iran criticized the way Americans move against the agreed letters of the nuclear deal of July 15, 2015.

“Despite all sinister efforts staged by the US and its followers to create insecurity in Iran after the Islamic Revolution of 1979, Iranian armed forces stood bravely and protected the security of the country,” underlined the Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Commander-in-Chief of Iran's Armed Forces, Ayatollah Khamenei, made the remarks at a graduation ceremony at Iran’s Police Academy in Tehran on Sunday.

“They create the ISIL one day and then when they face the resistance of the faithful youth which has made ISIL’s days numbered, they go after other ways of deceptive nature,” reiterated the Iranian Leader in recounting the reasons of region’s instability and insecurity and the role of ‘Americans and Zionists’ in the region. “But thanks to Divine auspices and the endeavors of the youth of Iran and the resistance front, the mercenaries of the arrogant system will be trampled once again.”

He stated that the only way to counter exploiter powers’ and US’ greed and infiltration for nations is having the self-esteem of self-capability and putting it into practice. “If we retreat one step, the enemy will advance further.”

“About this case [the nuclear deal between Iran and 5+1 known as the JCPOA], every day they [American officials] play a new trick or expose a new side of their viciousness and prove Imam Khomeini's words true, ‘US government is the great Satan’, and indeed the ruling regime of the US is the most sinister Satan in the world,” affirmed the Iranian Leader.

“According to the estimations offered by Iranian experts and technicians, Iran will need a minimum of 20,000 Megawatts of nuclear electricity in the next couple of years, so that why the Iranian nation followed a wise strategy to legitimately meet this objective,” recounted the Iranian Leader the trajectory of Iran’s nuclear program, “but the US, which is always against Iran’s and other nation’s scientific progress, opposed Iran’s plan and imposed unjust sanctions upon our country.”
