Venezuelan FM calls on extreme right to end violence

CARACAS, May 06 (MNA) – Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Delcy Rodriguez, has called on the right-wing opposition to curb violent actions and join the debate that will be opened with the new National Constituent Assembly convened by President Nicolas Maduro.

In a message broadcast today on her Twitter account, Rodriguez posted "there is no excuse for the opposition to miss the appointment for peace and sovereignty! Give up the violence and listen to the call of Constitution."
The Democratic Unity Council, a right-wing party coalition opposed to the Bolivarian government, received the official invitation to participate in the first meeting with the presidential commission for the National Constituent Assembly, to be held on Monday, May 8th.
This meeting, to be held at the Miraflores Palace,HQ of the Government,was agreed to exchange contributions, observations and recommendations regarding the initiative to establish spaces that facilitate the peaceful resolution of the political conflict this South American nation is currently experiencing.
