Iran, Austria to hold meeting on tech. coop.

TEHRAN, Nov. 07 (MNA) – Iran’s Higher Council for Science and Technology will hold a joint meeting with Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Tehran for international cooperation on science and technology policies.

In order to expand international cooperation on science and technology policies, Iran’s Higher Council for Science and Technology will hold a joint meeting with managers of innovation and technology foresight department of Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) on 8-13 November, 2016.

The Austrian Institute of Technology is Austria's largest research and technology organization. According to the Institute’s website, AIT provides research and technological development to realize basic innovations for the next generation of infrastructure related technologies in the fields of Health & Environment, Energy, Mobility and Digital Safety & Security. These technological research areas are supplemented by the competence in the area of Innovation Systems.

The Austrian delegation will also pay a visit to the 4th International Rab’-e Rashidi Exhibition and Excellence Awards of High-Tech and New Technologies scheduled for 10-13 November in Tabriz, as well as the technological infrastructure of the city.

Visiting the Automotive Industrial Technology Park in Tabriz, Foreign Investment Town, and Electronics Technology Development Center are also on the visiting schedule of the Austrian delegation.
