Directed by Hamid Jafari, the 26-Minute documentary The Rock is about a woman who lives in southern Iran in a hut made of stones dug out of the rock. She breaks off rocks from a cliff using only the strength of her arms and a crowbar as a tool. Her day-to-day life is divided between the care she provides for her husband and the long hours spent extracting stones.
Jafari's 2015 film The Rock won the best short documentary award at the Cinema Verite festival in Tehran.
