In the 23 round of Persian Gulf Premier League of Iran’s Professional Soccer, Naft of Tehran, Tractorsazi of Tabriz, and Sepahan of Isfahan edge-passed Gostaresh Foulad of Tabriz, Foulad of Khuzestan and Siah-Jamegan of Mashhad while three other events between Malavan, Esteghlal of Khuzestan, Esteghlal of Tehran, Padideh of Mashhad, Zowbahan of Isfahan, and Saipa were ended with draws.
The round kicked off on Thursday in Mashhad where Siah Jamegan of the city hosted title-defenders of Isfahan Sepahan. The visitors edge-passed the hosts with the sole goal scored by Fozil Musaev at the 90th minute of the match.
The second event of the round was held in Iranian northern port city of Anzali where the white swans of the city lined up against table runners-up from southern city of Ahwaz. Eateghlal’s Mohammad Tayyebi equalized at the 48th minute the lead scored by Malavan’s Jalal Rafkhaie at 28. Esteghlal of Khuzestan left Anzali with one point to let Esteghlal of Tehran still enjoy the top of the table.
Tractorsazi scored three goals to edge-pass their gusts in Tabriz 3-2. Ayyoub Kalantari, Mohammad Iran-Pourian, and Khalid Shafie scored for the hosts and Sasan Ansari scored a goal and converted a penalty for Fould of Khuzestan.
Naft of Tehran were too lucky that Morteza Assadi of Gostaresh Fould scored an own goal at the very late minute of 92. Mansourian’s team enjoyed the three points with the listless 1-0 victory.
Zowbahan and Esteghlal were both unsuccessful to win their home fixtures of the round and left the pitch sharing the points with Padide of Mashhad and Saipa of Tehran.
In Isfahan the visitors equalized at 45, 15 minutes after conceding to the goal by Zowbahan’s Mehdi Rajabzadeh. Mehdi Torabi scored for Saipa.
In Tehran, the blue giants of the city could not score any goal to let the visitor have their own one point share of the round.
