Iran Aviation Summit 2016 kicks off in Tehran

TEHRAN, Jan. 24 (MNA) – Iran Aviation Summit, the not-to-be-missed event of 2016, has opened in Tehran with the participation of over 160 representatives from 85 aircraft manufacturing companies of 35 countries in the world.

Iran Aviation Summit which is currently taking place in Tehran on 24-25 January 2016, is the first major international aviation summit to be held in Iran in almost 40 years and is provided with the full backing of Iran’s aviation authorities and industry leaders.

Following the historic nuclear agreement between Iran and the 5+1 group of countries in July 2015, Iran’s civil aviation sector, and its tourism industry, are set for significant modernization and expansion following the recent lifting of sanctions on 16 January.

Iran Aviation Summit will bring together Iran’s key government and industry leaders with international experts and the chiefs of aviation operators and suppliers from around the world to discuss the direction of the industry in a post-sanctions environment.
