Kazakhstan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Rapil Zhoshybayev met and talked with Mohammad Javad Zarif in Tehran on Tuesday afternoon.
Zarif pointed to the extensive relations between Iran and Kazakhstan; “Kazakhstan marks an important neighbor for Iran and Iran gives special respect to Kazakh people and government,” he asserted.
“The presidents of the two countries have met on several occasions,” noted Zarif adding “the grounds for further development of relations have been provided given that the relevant organizations take necessary measures for implementation of the signed agreements.”
The Iranian foreign minister further referred to the joint opportunities in the Caspian Sea as well as in economic and political fields emphasizing development of bilateral relations in all fields especially in the fight against terrorism.
The Kazakh Deputy FM, Rapil Zhoshybayev, for his part, conveyed warm greetings of his country’s foreign minister and said, “recent meetings of the two countries’ presidents indicates that bilateral relations are expanding in all fields.”
“Relations between the two countries’ ministries of foreign affairs are also close and we find it necessary to conduct regular consultations on issues of the Caspian Sea,” maintained Zhoshybayev expressing hope that the next summit of the Caspian Sea will produce fruitful results.
The official further noted the importance of fight against terrorism expressing readiness to have close cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran in this regard.
Rapil Zhoshybayev deemed the purpose of his visit to Tehran as inviting Iran to participate in Expo 2017 in Kazakhstan and appreciated Zarif’s emphasis on Iran’s active participation in the exhibition.
