Speaking to reporters upon his arrival in Beijing, China, Mohammad Javad Zarif acknowledged that China, as an active and influential member of 5+1, always played an important role in the nuclear talks.
Zarif expressed hope China would continue its constructive role during the implementation of the JCPOA.
"Iran and China enjoy very extensive relations in political and economic domains as well as regional and international relations," he emphasized, expressing Tehran's readiness to expand its relations with Beijing in all areas.
Pointing to Iran and China common interests and threats, Zarif said the two countries share common concerns over issues including extremism, sectarianism, terrorism, regional problems and crisis in Afghanistan, Yemen and Syria.
As for economic relations, Zarif said the ties are ever growing with respect to good decisions made by leaders of the two countries.
Zarif, leading a delegation, arrived in Beijing Monday night to confer with China’s high ranking officials on issues of mutual interests along with regional and global developments.
