Israeli regime says it has resumed ceasefire in Gaza

TEHRAN, Oct. 20 (MNA) – The Israeli regime claimed to have resumed aid deliveries to war stricken Gaza Strip on Monday after its deadly strikes on Sunday which came in gross violation of the ceasefire with Hamas resistance movement.

Gaza’s fragile ceasefire faced a major test Sunday after Israeli strikes killed atl least 15 in Gaza Strip on Sunday.

Aid deliveries were briefly halted but are set to resume Monday, according to an Israeli official, , AFP reported on Monday. The Israeli military later said it was once again enforcing the ceasefire. Over a week into the US-brokered truce, the situation was calmer on Monday as compared to yesterday.

Meanwhile, Al-Jazeera reported that Israeli forces fired artillery in areas east of Deir el-Balah in central Gaza earlier on Monday.

In the meantime, the US President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and son-in-law Jared Kushner arrived in occupied territories on Monday.

The pair were reported to be Washington’s top negotiators overseeing the Gaza ceasefire plan and were expected to meet members of Netanyahu’s government.
