Measures taken to boost export of electrical engineering services

TEHRAN, Jan. 23 (MNA) – The Ministry of Energy will follow up increasing export of technical and engineering services in the field of electricity seriously.

Deputy Minister of Energy for Power and Energy Affairs Homayoun Ha’eri said in a gathering of senior managers of power industry of the country and said, “single digitization of losses in the national electricity grid is one of the main tasks of the ministry’s Energy and Power Deputy Office and for this purpose, we held expert-level sessions in the presence of responsible managers in order to reduce electricity loss from 15 to 11 percent.”

He pointed to reorganizing economy of electricity and business environment as well as increasing incomes in power industry of the country as the other main missions of the ministry’s Energy Deputy Office and said, “we are following up necessary measures in order to accelerate export of technical and engineering services in cooperation with the private sector and also ramping up energy exchanges with the neighboring states.

Ha’eri said, “effective steps have been taken in this regard in order to remove power outage problem caused by power generation shortage and added, “reducing share of fossil fuels for generating electricity has been put atop agenda of the ministry in the current year (to end March 20, 2018).”
