The four new systems were unveiled at a ceremony to mark anniversary of establishment of Khatam al-Anbia Air Defense Base.
Negah air reconnaissance and object identification system, which marks the first of its type in West Asia, has been manufactured by capable scientists of the Iranian Base. The system, whose technology is available to only few countries in the world, is able to quickly obtain the most accurate information from passing flights and enhance quick identification of each flight’s route. It adds Iran to the list of few countries able to manufacture similar systems.
Negah is an essential system for controlling air traffic. Its production by Khatam al-Anbia Air Defense Base will alleviate the need to import advanced air traffic control systems used by Iran Civil Aviation Organization.
Yet another new achievement is called Basir which is a system for displaying and transmitting radar information and navigation to the command and control network. Thanks to its modern technology, the single device simultaneously carries out tasks of six separate systems by analyzing and transmitting information, conducting questions and answers from flight navigation systems as well as receiving navigation signals. The system downsizes the number of workforce per shift by 54 and reduces the size of systems twenty times while at the same time boosting speed and accuracy of sending and receiving information.
Moreover, the portable system for collecting radar and navigation system called Sami has been domestically produced in various sized and volume. The device can be mounted on manned and unmanned aircraft in order to collect signaling, radar and navigation information from the closest point to target flights.
