Bahram Ghasemi told reporters on Monday that no general restrictions would be endorsed at this time for Iranians visit to Turkey; however, Iranians should wait for some time when Turkey’s conditions returned back to normalcy after an unsuccessful coup d’état had affected tourism industry.
Ghasemi was responding to an inquiry about remarks by Turkish ambassador to Tehran who had reportedly demanded that Tehran lift the restrictions on travel to Turkey. Mr. Ghasemi said that no political event would curtail the influx of Iranians to Turkey or vice-versa; “visits will resume just when the situation in Turkey returns back to normalcy,” he added.
