Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi who was speaking in Internet Content Exchange Center (CDN) Traffic Peering conference, told reporters on Tuesday that in line with a requirements of National Information Network, improved speed and quality of access for public had been prioritized; "with rising number of access to domestic content, we are planning to establish a new international hub and peering center with world's most prestigious operators participating," he added. "By next two months, the hub will have completed establishment process and internet users will receive improved services and higher quality of international internet."
"Tehran, Tabriz, Shiraz, and Mashhad have their own peering centers operating since last May; with CND centers established, we have seen a spike in domestic traffic of information, which was a requirement by National Information Network," deputy-minister told the press.
"Beginning July 21, internet users will be charged new prices for internet services; we will have access also to network traffic data of internet operators to see which operators functioned well or lagged behind the demand by the public; users will also have wider options, since they will have the information about operators such as traffic, delays in services, and other parameters," Azari Jahromi told reporters.
