Each vote influential in fate of country

TEHRAN, Feb. 26 (MNA) – Head of Iran’s Expediency Council Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani underlined each vote will determine the future of the country for 48 years.

Rafsanjani casted his ballot for the parliamentary and Assembly of Experts elections opened on Friday morning.

Underlining “In unity there is strength”, he urged massive turnout in elections saying one vote does not work alone, but overall votes will determine the fate of the democratic countries on polling.

“Nobody asks you to whom the vote; the turnout rate is important, which finally shows your awareness and attention to the fate of the country,” he noted.

Rafsanjani asked all those responsible for vote counting to be away from breach of trust, saying honesty is a huge responsibility breach of which is a great social sin.

He also asked the media staff and journalists to present a careful coverage of news related to the elections and tell the truth, being honest and avoid from lying which is a sign of corruption.
