Iran participated in the 8th edition of the Indian film festival with four feature films including ‘Until Ahmad Returns’ (Sadegh Daghighi), ‘A Baby with Red Socks’ (Khodadad Jalili), ‘Track 143’ (Narges Abyar) and ‘Oblivion Season’ (Abbas Rafei); as well as two short films including ‘The Room’ (Benyamin Haftlang) and ‘Confined Space’ (Siamak Ahmadi). In the animation section, Iran participated with two titiles including ‘What is Your Talent’ by Barzan Rostami and ‘The Sound of the Road’ by Barzan Rostami.
As the winners were annoucned on Wednesday, GREEN ROSE Award went to “Until Ahmed Returns” directed by Sadegh Daghighi, while “Oblivion Season” bagged the BEST ACTRESS AWARD for the brilliant performance by Sareh Bayat.
BEST WOMEN FILM Award went to “Track 143” directed by Narges Abyar, and “Until Ahmad Returns” also managed to win BEST WAR AND PEACE FILM Award.
152 feature, documentary, short and animation films were screened for five pleasant winter days from January 2 to 6 in Jaipur, India.
The festival's BEST DOCUMENTARY FILM Award went to “Smajl” from Germany directed by Philipp Majer, while “Plein Soleil” from Belgium directed by Fred Castadot won the BEST SHORT FILM Award.
