Following the introduction of representatives of Iranian university sports to FISU and the follow-up procedures undertaken by the federation, the International Federation of University Sports (FISU), in a statement, has elected Khosrow Ebrahim as Technical Delegate and Vice-Chairman of the Technical Committee of volleyball competitions at the 29th World University Games (Summer Universiade) to be held in Taiwan in the year 2017.
Khosrow Ebrahim has been a university professor as well as instructor of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).
A part of FISU’s statement reads “we are extremely pleased about your candidacy for the seat and we are confident that your experiences will be invaluable to the Organizing Committee of the next Summer Universade Games as well as to the development of volleyball in FISU.”
Ebrahim possesses important qualifications including organizing head of Iran’s national volleyball team, professor and dean of the sports science and physical education department of Shahid Beheshti and Gilan universities, FIVB instructor, participation in international competitions in 1968 and winning the title as well as gaining the third ranking in the fifth Asian Competitions in Bangkok, Thailand.
