Iran, Sextet discuss next step in JCPOA

TEHRAN, Dec. 03 (MNA) – Started in the morning, the first round of Iran-Sextet talks after Amano’s report on Iran’s PMD is being held in Vienna on Thursday.

After the release of the final report by IAEA Chief Yukiya Amano, all sides of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) gathered in Austria’s Vienna to discuss the next step of the agreement.

The Iranian delegation, headed by Iranian Foreign Ministry's Director General for Political and International Security Affaris Hamid Baeidinejad, seeks the closure of PMD file as its main objective.

According to the JCPOA, after the final report of IAEA with no proof for military dimensions in Iran’s wholly peaceful nuclear program, the counter-sides of the agreement are obliged to draft a resolution to close the long-run politically motivated file.

Amano’s report was handed to board of governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Wednesday.

The next Iran-5+1 meeting will be held on Monday in Vienna where deputies are slated to meet.
