Magnitude 4.6 quake hits two cities in Tehran Province

TEHRAN, Aug. 26 (MNA) – A relatively strong quake measuring 4.6 degrees on the Richter scale jolted eastern part of Tehran Province.

According to the Tehran University Geophysics Institute, two cities of Firouzkouh and Damavand in the Tehran Province shaked at 10:06 pm local time (17:36 GMT) on Tuesday.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or material damage.

The epicenter of the quake was registered at the depth of 10 kilometers, 24 kilometers from Firouzkouh.
