Majlis Speaker felicitates Muslim counterparts on Ramadan

TEHRAN, Jun. 18 (MNA) –Iran’s Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani congratulated his Muslim counterparts on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, a month of fasting for Muslims.

In a messages issued on Wedensay, Larijani felicitated his counterparts in Muslim countries and other prominent Islamic figures on the auspicious occasion.

Wishing personal success for the addresses and national pride for their nations, Larijani started his letter, bestowing his sincere congratulations.

Warning the Muslims the danger of extremism and terrorism, he took the Muslim’s attention to the current mayhem in the Middle East and urged for heeding the true Islamic teachings of unity and integrity among Muslims highlighting two verses from the holy Quran and referring to Prophet Muhammad’s lifestyle.

The Iranian lawmaker stressed the two major responsibilities of the Iranian Parliament to endeavor for closing Islamic states together and for initiating Muslim-Muslim brotherly talks as the first in the agenda and prevent the renowned enemies of Islamic nations from dividing Muslims as its second priority.

This year, the Iranian people along with most of other Muslim nations started the holy month of Ramadan on Thursday June 18.
