The statement, while slamming the Saudi violent invasion of Yemen, accuses US of being an accomplice in crimes against innocent people in Yemen. Iran’s food supply and medical aids are humanitarian acts to help relieve the war-hit people of Yemen, the statement underlined.
Pointing to Pentagon’s call on Iranian cargo ships to change the destination and deliver the aids to Djibouti rather than Yemeni ports, the Ministry's statement questioned the urgent delivery of the aids to Yemenis and called on international organizations to try to establish a ceasefire to help the Yemeni nation 'truly and effectively.'
The Ministry emphasized that supporting the child-killing regimes like Saudi Arabia and Israel subjects US to more hatred in public opinion. “The consequences of any attempt to intercept Iran’s humanitarian aid would be blamed on US and Saudi Arabia,” the statement warns.
In his recent statements, Pentagon speaker had called Iran’s humanitarian aid to Yemen as adventurous and provocative. "If the Iranians are planning some sort of stunt, perhaps using the ship to deliver weapons, that would be unhelpful," Pentagon Spokesman Col. Steve Warren told reporters on Tuesday.
