Iran seeking stability, peace in region: Ravanchi

TEHRAN, Apr. 18 (MNA) – Iran Deputy FM for European and American Affairs has said Iran’s aim is improvement of peace and stability in the region by means of negotiations and peaceful approaches.

Majid Takht Ravanchi made these remarks in a meeting with German State Secretary of the Federal Foreign Office Markus Ederer who is currently visiting Iran.

Iranian official, while stressing the positive and proper relations of Iran and Germany, deemed the bilateral political consultations as useful and necessary.

Emphasizing that the development of ties could lead to regional stability, Takht Ravanchi said Iran’s objective is to increase stability and harmony in the region through negotiations.

Appreciating the positive relations between Iran and Germany, Ederer underlined the need for further expansion of political, economic and cultural ties.

German official, describing Iran’s positive role in regional stability, asserted that Germany also urged the regional issues to be resolved peacefully.

The meeting was dedicated to discuss bilateral cooperation on different fields as well as the latest changes in nuclear talks.
