Zarif in Parl. to answer questions

TEHRAN, Jan. 06 (MNA) – Mohammad Javad Zarif, talking to MPs, asserted that government and negotiating team would not follow any political or partisan aims.

Iranian FM Mohammad Javad Zarif, attending the public session of Parliament to answer the questions raised by a number of MPs, said “based on three decades of study, experience, and teaching in foreign policy arena, I do believe that partisan foreign policy is the deadlock of failure at the cost of national interests.”

Zarif while appreciating the chance to address the representatives, stated that Iran’s power stems from different natural, spiritual, defensive and political factors the most important of which were independence, esteem, confidence and defense.

He stressed that “considering the recent transition of power and influence process in the world, Iran could have an influential and serious role in the regional and international stage using this power.”

Zarif, pointed that nuclear talks had portrayed a moderate, stable and powerful image of Iran while preventing further sanctions to be imposed and breaking the wall of current sanctions.

He asserted Iran, today, is recognized as an agent of stability and security in the region, describing it as a result of negotiations, agreement and diplomacy.

Zarif, meanwhile, said “no one today dares to question Iran’s nuclear program demanding its suspension. The disagreement is merely on the level of enrichment. This is our achievement.”

Highlighting the recognition of Iran’s rights to have nuclear program, Zarif added “claims accusing Iran of seeking nuclear weapon are totally baseless.”

Iranian FM stated that talks had isolated Zionist regime; “the Israeli regime has failed in its plots against Iran and the Muslim world, and I am proud we have played a role in preventing its plots.”

He concluded his statements assuring that Iran’ rights are preserved as a national and nonpartisan issue, concerning national interests and aims.

Zarif was in Parliament to answer to the questions of 40 MPs on nuclear talks, Geneva agreement and rights of Iranian nation. Following his words, MPs were satisfied by speech of Zarif, voting 125 for and 86 against it.
