Israel cowardly kills Gaza children: Nasrallah

TEHRAN, July 26 (MNA) – Secretary General of the Lebanese resistance movement, Hezbollah, has said that Zionists are cowards who only kill children, but facing real fighters, their army will be destroyed.

In a speech on International Quds Day, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah expressed full support for the Palestinian people’s resistance against the Israeli offensive on the besieged Gaza Strip.

Addressing a crowd of Lebanese people on the occasion of the International Quds Day on Friday, Nasrallah said that Israel’s massacres in the Gaza Strip meant to remove not only Hamas but all Palestinian resistance factions.

He expressed Hezbollah’s stance beside the Palestinian people and the Palestinian resistance without any exception.

“We will not spare any means of support that we can and are able to provide; we feel that we are true partners with the Palestinian resistance and your victory is our own,” Nasrallah added.

He emphasized that the Israeli occupation army has not gone to Gaza to fight, but to kill, indicating that when the ground operation failed, the Israeli army switched to killing children and civilians in an attempt to break the resistance support base.

“Today Gaza tells them that you [Zionists] are cowards who only kill children, but facing real fighters, you and your army will be destroyed,” Sayyed Nasrallah added.

Nasralleh said there was an Israeli intelligence failure in estimating the strength of the resistance and its tactics, weaponry, missiles, stores, and manufacturing sites even though Gaza is a relatively small area that has been suffering a fierce blockade for years.

Addressing the people of Gaza, who have been facing an ongoing Israeli military aggression now in its 19th day, Nasrallah said only the “trinity of the battlefield, popular steadfastness, and political steadfastness will win the day.”

Slamming the Arab official stance, Nasrallah said that “some Arab rulers are pushing Netanyahu, Israel’s Prime Minister, to press ahead with the aggression against Gaza in fear of admitting that the resistance did achieve a victory.”

Israel has started waves of attacks against Gazans since July 8. On July 17 it launched a ground invasion into the densely-populated enclave.

Nearly 900 people, mostly women and children, have been killed so far and thousands of others wounded by the Israeli regime in Gaza strip.
