TEHRAN, July 29 (Mehr News Agency) – Marking the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Fatemeh (SA), an exhibition of Qoran inscriptions dubbed “Iran’s Qoran” is currently underway at “Chadorkhaneh” of Golestan Palace.

The exhibition displays a total of 150 printed copies, the original ones of which are kept in several Tehran museums. This includes printed copies of 182 volumes of beautifully illuminated Qoran manuscripts, handiwork of Iranian artists for centuries.

“The exhibit not only displays the Qorans from 4th to 14th centuries A.H., but also portrays the art of illumination by prominent Iranian masters”, Seyed Abouzar Najafi, head of the exhibit said.

He added that original copies of the Qoran are collected by researcher Seyed Baqer Najafi, demonstrating to the world, the importance the Iranian nation gives to preserving the Holy Book.

Iran’s Qoran is a collection of 182 volumes of the holy Qoran. The collection includes the whole suras of Qoran.

The original volumes are preserved in museums of “Iran”, “Reza Abbasi”, “National Library”, “Golestan Palace” and “Malek.”

The exhibition will run through until August 6.
