Iranian Literature Unfamiliar With Postmodernism

TEHRAN, June 29 (Mehr News Agency) – Writer and poet Manouchehr Atashi is convinced that Iranian literature is unfamiliar with what is considered postmodernism in the European countries.

He further noted that postmodernism has not established itself in Iran yet, and can only be observed in a small number of literary works.

“Iranian poets have the least experience in postmodernism thoughts , leading them to disharmony in literature,” he said, adding that ”no literary work which claims to be postmodernism has been reviewed in Iran professionally.”

“Poetry Selection” is the recent book by the writer published through Nashr-e Negah Publications.
