He made the remarks in a meeting with the visiting head of Danish Parliament Foreign Policy Committee.
Larijani said Iran and Denmark should further cooperate in their campaigns against terrorism and drug trafficking, adding current regional developments necessitate new strategy in this regard.
The growth of terrorism in the region, an increase in drug trafficking from Afghanistan and crises in Iraq and Palestine are all caused by the improper conduct of certain world powers, he added.
The Danish official also said Iran and Denmark share common views on certain issues and that both countries can expand relations in different areas.
She said Tehran and Copenhagen share the same view on terrorism and that both countries should make joint efforts to help eradicate this phenomenon.
She also said that expanding relations between the two countries’ parliaments can provide common grounds for further cooperation.
Denmark is really interested in continuing talks based on mutual interests, she added.
The Danish official also held talks with her Iranian counterpart on Monday.
In the meeting she said she is fully aware that Iran has paid a very high price in its fight against drug trafficking.
She urged cooperation between the two countries to curb drug trafficking.
