Short Films to Be Premiered in Tehran and Four Other Cities

TEHRAN Nov. 26 (Mehr News Agency) -- The selected Iranian short films are to be premiered in Tehran and four other cities of the country during the current Iranian calendar month of Bahman (January 24- February 19, 2004), the Mehr News Agency reported on Wednesday.

 

The plan for premiere of the short films is to be implemented with screening the nominated works at the cinemas of Tehran, Tabriz, Karaj, Ardebil, and Zanjan, Hassan Najafi director of the plan said.

 

He also said that 18 hours of the short films have been selected for screening at the cinemas.

 

He also praised the young filmmakers who welcomed the plan, saying that several cities of the country have called for implementation of the plan in their cinemas.  

 

The plan may be implemented in Abadan and Shiraz in the near future, he said, adding that special posters have been singled out for each round of screening the short films.

 

According to him, the nominated short films are to be displayed at cinemas of Sepideh and Shahed (Tehran), Cinema Bahman 29 (Tabriz), Yasaman (Zanjan), Nasr (Karaj), and Cinema Ardebil.

 

Holding monthly meetings of criticisms and discussing, the films are among the programs to be carried out at the sideline of the plan.
