Iran, Switzerland ink €18m petrochemical contract

TEHRAN, Mar. 10 (MNA) – Iran’s National Petrochemical Company (NPC) signed an 18-million-euro contract with Ammonia Casale S.A. company of Switzerland on Monday to buy the license for establishment of three ammonia producing units in Zanjan, Golestan, and Lordegan petrochemical complexes.

The Swiss license holder has guaranteed the quantity and quality of products. Each of the units will cost 6 million euro and will have the daily production capacity of 2,050 tons of ammonia, public relations department of the NPC reported.

 

Engineering and construction of the units and their side facilities will be executed by Iranian companies under management of the NPC.

 

On March 4, the NPC had awarded a 7.816-million-euro contract on urea producing units in the same petrochemical complexes to Stamicarbon Company of the Netherlands.
