Resistance front close to achieve victory

TEHRAN, Jan. 30 (MNA) – Deputy Iranian Interior Minister for Security Affairs met and held talks with Speaker of the Syrian Parliament Hammouda Sabbagh on regional issues, emphasizing the determination of Iran and Syria to develop relations.

In the meeting, Majid Mir-Ahmadi explained the agreements and axes of joint police and security cooperation, and stated that the two countries have a very important geopolitical position in the region and the Islamic world.

Iran and Syria's friendship showed itself in the confrontation with the terrorists created by the Zionist regime and the US, he said, adding that Iran and Syria fought slog and defeated the enemies while terrorists took over more than 70% of Syria.

He clarified that the two countries are united in the Resistance front fighting against the terrorist and child-killing Zionist regime, adding that the Resistance front is so close to victory.

"We believe that the occupiers should leave the Syrian territory and the Syrian army should act as a deterrent against the threats of the Zionist regime," he added.

Mir-Ahmadi said that the goal of the Zionist regime in attacking the Resistance forces was to leave Syria alone in front of the aggressor regime.

He continued that Iran and Syria have common goals, interests, and a common enemy.
