Comprehensive Plan for Ports and Shipping to End by Next March

TEHRAN Oct. 4 (Mehr News Agency) – The first stage of Comprehensive Plan for Ports and Shipping will be soon completed while the whole work is estimated to end by early March, 2004, the managing director of Iran’s Organization of Ports and Shipping Ahmad Donyamali said here Saturday.

“Our major goal is to provide a basic design for sea trade in Iranian ports,” he added.

 

Foreign consulting engineers have prepared the initial plan, Donyamali stated adding Iranian engineers are in charge of implementing the design, which is significant from the legal viewpoint.

 

The project price, which is to be issued from revenues of the organization, would be about 10.2 billion rials, he said.

 

“The plan will also urge all engaged offices to keep pace with sea trade strategies included in the country’s fourth economic development plan,” Donyamali added.
